Custom software built for the way you work.

When the work keeps falling between your existing tools, it may be time to build the missing part.

Discuss this project

For operational work that depends on spreadsheets, repeated data entry or systems that don’t talk to one another.

Where it can help

Connect the systems you already use

Move data between tools with agreed rules, visible failures and a way to recover when something goes wrong.

Replace a fragile manual process

Turn a recurring spreadsheet or email workflow into a tool with clear inputs, responsibilities and records.

Make existing software useful again

Review, stabilise or extend a system that has become difficult to operate or change.

What the work can include

  • Process and constraints review
  • Scope and architecture decisions
  • Backend services, APIs or internal tools
  • Data handling and system integrations
  • Testing, deployment and operating notes

Custom is a decision, not the default.

If an existing product solves the problem well, we’ll say so. Custom development makes sense when the fit, control or operating needs justify it. We weigh running costs and maintenance as part of that decision.

How we build custom software

Map the process first

We document the current workflow, its exceptions and the data it depends on before choosing what to build.

Integrations with visible failures

Data moves between systems through APIs with agreed rules, logs and a way to recover when something goes wrong.

Automation with clear limits

We automate the repeatable steps and keep a person in the loop where judgement is needed.

Software you can take over

You receive the code, access and operating notes included in the scope, so the system can be maintained and developed further.

A few practical questions

Do we need a technical specification?

No. A description of the problem and examples of the current work are enough to start. We use those to identify the business rules and constraints, then define the result.

Can you automate the whole process?

We first map the process, including its exceptions. Some steps may still need a person. The scope should make those boundaries clear.

What happens after delivery?

We agree the handover and any ongoing support. Monitoring, maintenance and future changes are defined responsibilities, not assumed unlimited services.

When does custom software make sense?

When an off-the-shelf product doesn’t fit your process, forces costly workarounds or can’t connect to your systems. If a ready-made tool solves the problem well, we’ll say so.

Which processes can be automated?

Typically repetitive work: copying data between systems, preparing documents and reports, notifications, status updates and recurring checks. We confirm what makes sense after mapping the process.

Can you connect our existing systems?

Where they offer APIs or other reliable data access, yes. We check the limits, costs and failure handling before including an integration in the scope.
